Privacy notice

1. Information we collect

We collect the name and phone number or email you choose to provide, trip route and timing, flight details, passenger and luggage counts, selected options and any note you enter. We also keep quote, request, status and audit records, plus limited technical identifiers used for security, abuse prevention and idempotent submission.

Request page and optional analytics

With a booking request we may retain the public page where it was submitted, without its query or fragment. The first arrival page and source may be unknown. External analytics is not activated. We do not collect advertising click identifiers, raw search terms or campaign content. Accepting booking terms does not grant analytics consent. Any future external analytics requires separate consent and an updated notice before activation.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to calculate or confirm a price, respond to and process your request, keep an operational history, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, troubleshoot errors and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use the booking form for automated marketing or sell customer data.

3. Access and service providers

Access is limited to authorised Phuket Coast Link Limited operators and technical service providers needed to host and secure the system. The current hosting environment is in Germany. Providers act under their own security and contractual obligations; customer information is not made public.

4. Security

The site uses HTTPS in operation. Sensitive booking contact fields and operator notes are encrypted at application level before database storage, and staff access requires local credentials, TOTP and an application allowlist. No method can guarantee absolute security, so please do not put payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information in free-text notes.

5. Retention

Booking records are scheduled for deletion after 24 months from the later of submission or the latest pickup time. Unaccepted quotes are normally removed after their short operational retention window; expired idempotency and rate-limit records are removed by maintenance jobs. We may retain a record longer where reasonably required for an active dispute or legal obligation.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask about your stored information or request correction or deletion where applicable by contacting support. We may need enough information to verify the request and may retain data that the law requires us to keep. Route and passenger/luggage preferences may be stored in your browser so you can resume the form; you can clear them through browser storage controls.

Google Maps place search and manual map pin

When you use Google Maps place search, Phuket Coast Taxi sends Google Maps Platform the place text you type, the selected service-zone bias and language, a random autocomplete session token, and the Google Place ID you select. We do not send your name, phone number, email address, booking reference, payment information, or free-form booking note to Google as part of this lookup. When you open the optional map, your browser communicates directly with Google and Google processes the map request and interactions under Google's own Privacy Policy.

For the booking, Phuket Coast Taxi retains the Google Place ID, the location text you entered, the internal zone you selected, and Phuket Coast Taxi's own verification result. We do not retain Google autocomplete lists, Google formatted addresses, Google address components, or coordinates returned by the Places API. If you set a pin manually, the coordinates you choose and your text are stored in encrypted booking location details and are available only to authorised operators who process the request. Google Maps is not used to determine the fare automatically outside Phuket Coast Taxi's approved internal zone and tariff rules.
